ABOUT GLEN MARTIN TAYLOR
Based in Dayton, Ohio, self-taught artist Glen Martin Taylor works from necessity rather than intention, using art as a means of endurance. Echoing Duchamp and Beuys through gesture rather than theory, Taylor uses ordinary readymade objects, plates, cutlery, hinges, to explore fracture and repair. His work leaves breaks un-concealed, insisting that repair is an act of acknowledgment rather than resolution. Though created in solitude, Taylor’s work has been featured internationally, including at Design Museum Holon, WhiteBox Art Space, and Kunstlabor Gallery, offering art as a shelter where brokenness is quietly sustained.
