Marzio Cecchi, born on March 1st, 1940, near Florence, grew up in a creative environment as his mother, Giulia Carla Cecchi, was a renowned fashion figure in Italy known for her exquisite haute couture designs showcased at prestigious venues like Palazzo Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti in Florence. Marzio pursued his education in architecture and graduated from the University of Florence.
Right from the start of his career, Marzio achieved great success, showcasing his innovative ideas, exceptional creativity in working with materials, and innate sense of aesthetic appeal. He specialized in designing and decorating Italian homes and villas, many of which were protected by the Italian Fine Arts Department. His works received prestigious awards, always combining functionality with remarkable inventiveness, creativity, and beauty, enhanced by the craftsmanship of the highest quality. Over time, some of his creations have been acquired by renowned museums and collectors worldwide.
Marzio Cecchi was an eclectic and visionary architect, designer, and artist. Tragically, he passed away in an accident in New York on January 1st, 1990, leaving behind a legacy of timeless designs and unique pieces highly sought-after and collectible in the market.
